Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CineFilm Media ("we", "us", "NeerMela") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the NeerMela app and related services.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your phone number, display name, username, and profile photo (if you add one).
• Verification (KYC), if you choose to verify: document type and number (NID/passport), name, date of birth, and country of residence. This is optional and only used to raise account limits and improve safety.
• Usage data: messages, group memberships, and activity needed to deliver the service. Messages are protected in transit.
• Device & technical data: app version, device type, and approximate location only when you explicitly use location features (e.g. Emergency/SOS or "share my location"). Location is never collected in the background.

2. How we use your information

• To provide messaging, calls, groups, and other features you request.
• To send verification codes (OTP) to your phone for secure sign-in.
• To keep the service safe, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
• To improve the app and support you when you contact us.

3. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers that help us operate NeerMela (for example, SMS delivery, hosting, and database providers), and only as needed. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users' safety.

4. Data security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed one-time codes and PINs, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

5. Your choices & rights

• You can edit your profile or delete your account from within the app.
• You can decline optional KYC verification and location features.
• You can contact us to request access to or deletion of your data.

6. Children

NeerMela is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be announced in the app or on this page, with an updated date above.

Terms of Service

By using NeerMela you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be old enough to use the service in your country.

2. Acceptable use

• Do not use NeerMela for anything illegal, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive.
• Do not spam, harass, impersonate others, or distribute malware.
• Do not attempt to break, overload, or misuse the service.

3. Wallet & payments (beta)

The wallet is provided in beta as demo points only. It does not represent real currency and cannot currently be deposited to or withdrawn as cash. Any real-money features introduced later will be governed by additional terms and applicable regulation. NeerMela is not a bank and does not currently provide financial services.

4. Service availability

We aim to keep NeerMela running smoothly but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change, and the service is provided "as is" without warranties to the extent permitted by law.

5. Content

You are responsible for the content you send. You retain your rights to your content; you grant us the limited rights needed to deliver it to your intended recipients.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the law. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CineFilm Media is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, with respect to operations in the UAE where applicable.
