Getting Started
Download & install: Open NeerMela on Android or use the web app at neermela.com/app. Allow install from your browser if Android asks.
First open: Enter your phone number or Gmail, receive a one-time code, and you're in — no password to remember.
Account & Login
OTP login: Sign in with your phone or email; we send a 6-digit code that expires in 5 minutes.
Didn't get a code? Check your number/email, wait for the resend timer, and make sure you have signal or internet.
Chat & Messaging
Send & manage: Type, send, edit or delete messages. Read receipts show when your message is seen.
Share anything: Photos, video, voice notes, documents, location, contacts, stickers and GIFs.
Voice & Video Calls
Start a call: Open a chat and tap the call or video icon to reach family at home or abroad.
Group video: Bring the whole family into one call.
Groups & Communities
Create a group: Add friends or family, share media, and run polls to decide together.
Communities: Larger spaces to gather around a topic, place or interest.
Security
Stay safe: Turn on identity verification for higher trust, and report or block anyone who bothers you.
Your data: Traffic is encrypted in transit and analytics are anonymous.
Emergency SOS
How it works: One tap alerts your chosen circle and shares your live location.
Set it up: Add trusted contacts to your SOS circle in Settings before you need it.
